Now and then I need to type up these lists of games that I want to play and the possible release dates as a reminder.
Might be boring stuff for readers(as if I have any) but necessary for myself nonetheless.
Games to prioritize are marked with bold text.
I just got a call from my boss who wanted to discuss my future here and he notified me that unfortunately he won’t be able to further my employment here. Management is going in another direction which will make my position here superfluous. However a job opening will present itself later on since there’s been one who retired and his position haven’t been filled yet.
This is in no way anything I put my hopes into because that position is very questionable of when and if it’s going to be have to be filled at all in my view. My reactions to all of this is that I’m happy that I got an answer and I’m content with it. Because a) I was sick of my job to begin with. b) No matter what happens I’ll always manage. c) I can do much better than this.
And now after may 11:th, I’ll have all the time in the world to focus on all the stuff I want to learn and do, which time don’t permit me to for the moment. I never let stuff like this get me down. Especially when I wasn’t very fond of my monotome work to begin with.
What I’m happy about these days is that I’ll have a summer to spend with my new love Marie. Love you lots honey! ^_^
So this employment inconvenience is just a minor setback as far as I’m concerned. Even with the economic/job situation as it is today. For good or bad, I can’t seem to be bothered with it.
It’s strange how ones perception alters to commodate a new life near you. Interests surface and new methods of achieving satisfaction from them appears. My affection for Marie awakens sides within me I thought were long lost. I don’t want to get ahead of myself here but the future looks.. serene.
It’s been a long while since.
I deserve this..
The danger as I see it is if I feel that I could want nothing more. Because I should always want more.
That’s how I feel. And when I stop wanting, I stop living. I want to take whatever the world has and make it mine. It sounds so egoistic but I think of it as a necessity for me to keep an interest in something. To always want to know more, to learn more, to feel more. Experience sensations I never thought possible. Tastes that would render my next meals completely tasteless. Emotions felt within me when I behold visions of pure beauty.
“A hopeless dreamer”, is what people might call me.
I “simply” wish to experience life as it should be experienced. With excitement and a taste for more.
I haven’t really bothered with a lot of updates through my blog lately since I have like three channels to update if I could be bothered to do so. Twitter, blog and Facebook. And the reason I’ve been a bit awayish lately is because I’ve met the most wonderful girl which I’m now in a serious relationship with, loving every minute of it. =P
So I’m focusing on having as much fun as I possibly can and finally exploring the world with someone instead of solo.
The inevitable conclusion to this is of course that my blog updates will be suffering unless I find something really cool to post about. And then it’s usually for myself and not for whoever still reads this blog.
Treat life well. It’s way too short to be hung up on the negative.
In case people missed it. I’ve been to England for a week and had my small vacation and adventures before I take a pledge to work as much as I can and start working towards my drivers license seriously.
My day started with me waking up at 6am which wasn’t that bad since I’m usually used to waking up at 6.40am on workdays.
I got a ride to my plane and my journey started. The flight to Stockholm was unneventful and I grabbed something to eat at a nearby cafe in Arlanda airport. Boarded my flight to London after I bought some chocolate for Jen. On the flight to London however, I thought I saw the actor who plays Mohinder Suresh in Heroes. O_o
I tried not to stare at him as if he was some sort of terrorist but so much about the man reminded me of the actor and I didn’t really dare to just go up to him if he’d be insulted or something like that(which seems to be the general problem with people who see people they think are known actors).
Anyway, I dismissed that (or so I’d like to write, I actually thought about it during the whole flight) and continued to read my magazines and stuff. Oh and I have to point out that the american papers are just about the dumbest things on this planet. They’re fucking huge and none of the pages stick together as they do in the centre with a couple of pins on Swedish newspapers.
I had to try to fold the damned thing and read like a gimp to not to poke the eyes out of my fellow passengers.
Below a list of “need to see” movies 2009 and small trailer where available.
Franklyn
“Franklyn is set between the parallel worlds of contemporary London and the futuristic metropolis of Meanwhile City, and weaves a tale of four souls, whose lives are intertwined by fate, romance and tragedy. As these worlds collide, a single bullet determines the destiny of these four characters.”
The Watchmen
Based on a comic with the same name by Alan Moore, artist Dave Gibbons, and colorist John Higgins. This comic to movie adaptation promises it’s steady fanbase to be true to both the visual and the story aspects of the famed comic book.
Avatar
“Avatar is the story of a wounded ex-marine, thrust unwillingly into an effort to settle and exploit an exotic planet rich in bio-diversity, who eventually crosses over to lead the indigenous race in a battle for survival.”
This seems very interesting. James Cameron’s newest work with names like Sigourney Weaver, Giovanni Ribisi, Michelle Rodriguez it’s bound to be something worth watching. Even if it may be solely for Sigourney Weaver being directed by James Cameron again in an SF film.
Underworld: Rise of the Lycans
The third installment of the vampires VS werewolves movie with Rhona Mitra starring as the vampire Sonja.
The increddibly sexy Kate Beckinsale starred in the first two movies so we’ll be keeping our peepers locked on this newcomer to see if she can do for vampires what Kate Beckingsale did.
Friday The 13:th - Remake
This is quite surprising. A Friday The 13:th remake by none other than the producer Michael Bay himself.
The synopsis says.. who cares what the synopsis says? It’s the same in all Friday The 13:th movies. Kids go to cabin in the woods, kids die one by one. The cool part with some of these Friday The 13:th movies is that we get to know more and more about the mysterious Jason figure who can’t seem to die no matter what people do to him. So yes I’d love to see this one.
Valkyrie
“Based on actual events, a plot to assassinate Hitler is unfurled during the height of WWII.”
This movie seems to be concidered as a “make or break” movie for Tom Cruise. I’d say that man could wriggle his way into most movies sucky or no and still manage. What his cult brethren would say however if he stops donating dough is another thing.
I wouldn’t go see this movie for Tom Cruise, I’d go see it for the story if anything. And the promise of action. Nonetheless a must-see.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine
“Leading up to the events of “X-Men,” “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” tells the story of Wolverine’s epically violent and romantic past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed, and the ominous Weapon X program. Along the way, Wolverine encounters many mutants, both familiar and new, including surprise appearances by several legends of the X-Men universe.”DUH!
9
“Student Academy Award winner Shane Acker directs the animated fantasy epic “9,” a feature-length expansion of his short film of the same name. Produced by Tim Burton, Timur Bekmambetov, and Jim Lemley, the surreal tale takes place in a world parallel to our own, a post-apocalyptic fantasy in which a band of courageous rag dolls battles for the survival of civilization.”
This seems to be quite awesome and in true Tim Burton style we can expect artsy wonders of both the funny and the macabre.
2012
“Never before has a date in history been so significant to so many cultures, so many religions, scientists, and governments. “2012″ is an epic adventure about a global cataclysm that brings an end to the world and tells of the heroic struggle of the survivors.”
Seems watch-worthy. Another apocalypse movie but I manage to find some charm in them.
G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra
“Paramount Pictures and Hasbro, whose previous collaboration was the worldwide blockbuster “Transformers,” join forces with Spyglass Entertainment for another extraordinary action-adventure “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.” From the Egyptian desert to deep below the polar ice caps, the elite G.I. JOE team uses the latest in next-generation spy and military equipment to fight the corrupt arms dealer Destro and the growing threat of the mysterious Cobra organization to prevent them from plunging the world into chaos. “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.” is directed by Stephen Sommers (”The Mummy,” “The Mummy Returns”).”
I know! It could be cool however. It could also blow chunks. I’d call this watch-worthy.
Terminator Salvation
“In the highly anticipated new installment of “The Terminator” film franchise, set in post-apocalyptic 2018, Christian Bale stars as John Connor, the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. But the future Connor was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet’s operations, where they uncover the terrible secret behind the possible annihilation of mankind.”
Yes!! A new frikken Terminator movie! With Christian Bale as John Connor no less! This is gonna be awesome. And rumour has it even Arnold contributed to this movie by lending his voice.
Angels and Demons
“The team behind the global phenomenon “The Da Vinci Code” returns for the highly anticipated “Angels & Demons,” based upon the bestselling novel by Dan Brown. Tom Hanks reprises his role as Harvard religious expert Robert Langdon, who once again finds that forces with ancient roots are willing to stop at nothing, even murder, to advance their goals. Ron Howard again directs the film, which is produced by Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, and John Calley. The screenplay is by David Koepp and Akiva Goldsman.”
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Transformers 2, what more can I say about it? Not much. It’s not like we go to see it for the story. =P
Outlander
Basically this movie is The 13:th Warrior meets Predator. Synopsis is that an alien crash lands on a medieval age earth and battles an alien with the vikings. Seems cool enough to watch. =P Trailer’s a bit dark I’m afraid.
Knowing
“A teacher (Cage) opens a time capsule that has been dug up at his son’s elementary school; in it are some chilling predictions — some that have already occurred and others that are about to — that lead him to believe his family plays a role in the events that are about to unfold.”
Seems okay.
Gran Torino
New awesome movie with awesome man Clint Eastwood in an awesome performance where he’s just awesome and kicks ass.
Making this short because I’ve gotto put up a sort of “movies to watch this year” list for myself.
New years was fun all in all. A bunch of us cooked food and watched some movies on my 360 basically. We loaned a place in the university here to hang out in. Which was perfect since it was close to the fireworks. Each year they shoot off fireworks both in town and outside the university bar/club/thingy, since it’s the university pyrotechnics who does them both.
So we ate, we went outside to watch the fireworks. I drank quite a bit and even smoked an expensive cigar. It tasted quite alright. And afterwards me and a few others decided to go to the local university bar/club/thingy where I met a lot of people I know. We had quite a time and I drank way too many long island ice teas. =]
Afterwards we went home to my place where I had to fumble my way into my bedroom to sleep whilst my friends continued to chatter. I woke up the next day with a terrible hangover which lasted throughout the day. And ontop of that I got ill with the flue so I was out the rest of that week.
And that was about it. Oh and Jakob and his girl was there too. Haven’t seen Jakob for a while but he looked kinda awesome. =P Like Jay in Jay & Silent Bob.
I’ve had a ton of fun during both christmas and new years and got to see Jen and her family again. =P
Christmas: Christmas went awesomely as always and christmas spirit was to be had aplenty when hanging out with Jennie and celebrating with her and her family. The reason I haven’t had any celebrations with my own family for a while is because my parents are divorced since 2001 and ever since I haven’t bothered to “choose sides” of where to be. So I rather have a nice and christmassy time with my best friend Jennie.
The christmas eve itself went well and we had a lot of laughs. I got a Conan comic hardback edition from Jen and I almost couldn’t rip myself away from it when I started to read it. I loved the present to death. THANKS JEN! =D And I got a bunch of clothes from mom/dad and a gong(O_o). Yeah.. a gong. And some other nicknacks. =D All in all a good christmas with lotsa good food and good company.
I’ll continue with updates about new years later. Now work awaits. God it feels good to be back. =D
I’ve been up to a bunch of stuff and feeling somewhat christmas spirit:y when listening to Frank Sinatra songs.
I’ve gone and bought myself an X-box 360 elite, 120gigs version. I’ve got two controllers, a charger, Fable 2, Gears of War 2, Halo 3 and I borrowed Dead Rising. Also been playing a whole lot of Guitar Hero 4 - World Tour. Was actually fun to play the drums even if I suck at it.
Fable 2 was surprisingly fun. I thought the idea of a dog forced upon you would ruin the game for me but it didn’t.
I’m not a dog person. I’d much rather have a tiger or any other cat animal than a dog. This dog however becomes as evil as I do which is kinda cool. Red eyes and sharp teeth. Yes, I guess it looks kind of a demon dog after a while(you were right Lannie).
In any case, days move on and I’ve gotto find some presents for a few people. Buying more after christmas, cheaper that way.
Have a nice one people and Merry Christmas!
